Mid-IR

Mid-Infrared Components

We are seeing an increasing number of optical components working in the mid-infrared range on the market (more than 2000 nm). These components are used in a variety of applications, such as thermal sensors, thermal cameras, remote sensing, spectroscopy, optical fiber communication and more.

For numerous components, optical fiber enables the transmission of light over long distances with minimal loss. It can also be integrated into cables for transmitting light on the infrared spectrum, or for coupling light between different parts of an optical system.

For detection technologies, spectroscopy, medical applications or security, the mid-infrared spectrum is increasingly sought. This type of technology has a larger presence on the market and has proved to be versatile and inexpensive, making it a sought-after technology.
